Chinese for Travel
Learning some basic Chinese conversation will help you get so much more out of a trip to China! You'll learn how to ask for all the basic necessities, plus how to haggle with vendors (the Chinese love a good deal!) and the denominations of China's currency, the Renminbi.
Beginning Chinese
This class, for middle-school age children to adults, takes a more academic approach to learning Chinese. Students will learn tones and pronunciation, basic conversation, simple character writing and recognition, and basic grammar.
Mandarin for Munchkins
The best time to learn a foreign language is during childhood. Connect to China therefore offers small group classes of two or more students for pre-school to elementary school age children. The focus is on tones and pronunciation, basic conversation and some simple character recognition. Students will also learn about Chinese holidays and traditions. Instruction will incorporate games, songs and crafts to engage the children in learning.
